About NIFTI
NIFTI™ is a Non-Intrusive Flight Test Instrumentation System developed by MEMKO Pty Ltd.
Designed by flight test crew, NIFTI is a small, aircraft independent, wireless sensing system that collects environmental and structural data using sensor nodes adhesively mounted on to an aircraft's structure.
NIFTI's capture and measurements options can be configured via its easy-to-use Configuration App.
Revolutionising Aircraft Flight Testing
NIFTI has been developed in close collaboration with the RAAF Air Warfare Centre (AWC) and has been flight qualified on a number of aircraft
Sensor Node Features
- Suitable for external mounting directly on locations of interest
- Minimum endurance of 2 hours active at -45ºC, 40 hours hibernation at 20ºC
- Variable sample rate up to 4KHz
- Nodes available in tri-axial accelerometer configurations
- Mounting adhesives compatible with existing aircraft paint systems
Sensor Node Operations
Standalone Time Capture
Configure NIFTI™ Sensor Nodes to capture sensor measurements by setting a countdown timer or scheduling a capture to start and stop at a specific time. Nodes can also capture in repeated time intervals.
Synchronised Wireless Capture
Synchronise multiple nodes to capture sensor measurements at the same time using NIFTI’s wireless capture feature. Configure a network of NIFTI™ Sensor Nodes to accept control and UTC-synchronised time signals from a master Node.
Key Advantages
Increased Flexibility
Wireless system allows for rapid installation and removal
Affordable
NIFTI reduces costs by instrumenting in-service aircraft with reusable nodes
NIFTI Configuration App
The NIFTI™ Configuration App configures NIFTI™ Sensor Nodes with easy-to-use capture and measurement options.
- Configure groups of nodes to synchronise wirelessly
- Specify when to capture data based on schedule or timer
- Define what measures to capture from sensors, and at what sample rate and unit
- Capture data in CSV format for instant post-flight review of captured data
