Sensor Node is not charging
Cause(s) | Remedy |
Sensor Node battery is fully charged | Connect Sensor Node to computer running Configuration App and verify the battery’s level |
USB cable is worn
| Replace USB cable and try again
|
Sensor Node is not recognized by PC when plugged into the USB port
Cause(s) | Remedy |
Unable to establish a USB connection with computer | Unplug Sensor Node from USB port, then reconnect and try again; Restart Node Configuration App; Reboot computer and try again |
System Malfunction |
Please contact NIFTI support for further assistance
|
Sensor Node is oveheating
Causes | Remedy |
The Sensor Node is mounted onto a surface subject to high temperatures | Cover or remove Sensor Node from installation, allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before use |
Wrong voltage supply from USB power source | Disconnect the Sensor Node from USB power supply and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before use |
System malfunction
| Please contact NIFTI support for further assistance
|
Sensor Node does not start capturing at desired time (scheduled)
Causes | Remedy |
Incorrect time on set computer | Ensure the current system time correctly set on the computer then try again
|
Incorrectly specified start and end time for scheduled capture
| Ensure the Sensor Node has the correct start and end time set
|
End time is set earlier than start time
| Ensure the start time occurs before end date |
Start and/or end times occur in the past
| Ensure the start and end times occur in the future |
Time incorrectly set on Sensor Node | Plug Sensor Node into PC running the Configuration App to automatically set the current system time |
Sensor Node does not start or stop capture when configured to Wireless Capture mode (wireless)
Causes | Remedy |
Controller Sensor Node missing or not configured | Configure another Sensor Node to be a Wireless Controller and try again |
Incorrect Network ID specified | Configure correct Network ID and try again |
Sensor Node too far away from Controller Sensor Node | Reposition the Sensor Node to be closer to the Controller Sensor Node and try again |
Interference received from other devices, Wireless Sensor Nodes on different Network IDs | Reposition the Sensor Node to be closer to the Controller Sensor Node, away from interfering sources, and try again |
Controller Sensor Node missing or not configured | Configure another Sensor Node to be a Wireless Controller and try again |
Sensor Node stops recording measurement data while capturing (any mode)
Causes | Remedy |
Sensor Node disk is full | Use the Configuration App to Erase Capture Data stored on the Sensor Node |
Sensor Node battery capacity is too low | Charge the Sensor Node battery and try again |
Wireless Capture Sensor Node lost synchronisation connection to Commander Sensor Node | Reposition the Sensor Node to be closer to the Controller Sensor Node and try again |
Sensor Node disk is full | Use the Configuration App to Erase Capture Data stored on the Sensor Node |
No data is captured: Data file contains no measurements
Causes | Remedy |
Sensor malfunction | Restart Sensor Node and try again |
